Born in the 70's and raised in a bucket next to a movie theatre in the small town of Raahe, in the North of Finland. While watching every film he could get his hands on, he started to go deeper into to the world of film making. He studied classical Film Directing, Cinematography and Writing in a Film school and then began a professional career as a Director. After Directing music videos and short films with ridiculous budgets he started to attract some of the producers with his peculiar unique style. Soon he found him self working as an in house Director in a Post Production house, which gave him a good knowledge in working in visual effects and CGI. You could say that Vesa is very experienced in working with the Post Production teams. Soon after succeeding in a very limited budget TV commercials he started working with more traditional film production companies in Russia, Sweden and Finland. Three years later he is now spread to all over the world, including UK and USA. He has worked for clients like Ikea, McDonald's, Nokia, Mars, Frito Lay, Omron and with many top agencies including DDB Stockholm, BBDO Moscow, TBWA Helsinki, M&C Saatchi Germany. Vesa has won several prizes during the years, including Gold Epica and Bronze Epica in 2009 with the film for McDonald's: "Are we there yet?" and with the film for Swedish battery collection project: 'Mistreated'. Nowadays he continues to work in the advertising world for the clients who desire a creative and cinematic approach for their projects.
