After studying film and working for a period in the US, Nacho Gayan returned to his native Spain and started developing his career in Piramide, a Spanish production company. He starts off as a graphic designer, then goes on to digital editing, after which he transitioned to become a First A.D to finally becoming a solid and recognized director in the European scene.

He has conformed a personal vision based on a very aesthetic and photographic approach. His treatment of image has evolved from the sophisticated world of post production to a closer, special and very human perception of reality.

He has won wide acclaim for his work shot in Spain and abroad. Countries like Chile, North America, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Thailand, Morocco or the Czech Republic are some of the locations he has chosen to execute award winning campaigns for clients such as Coke, Audi, Volkswagen, BMW and Spanish Lottery.
