Writer-director Martin Romanella grew up with a strong artistic background, studying music, sculpture and photography from an early age on.
Well before his film studies at Buenos Aires University, Romanella had already avidly worked his way up the camera department of major South American productions.
He later completed his graduate studies at New York University, and transitioned into directing music videos for such diverse artist as Blacknate Debiase, Liz Mitchel, John Sijis, Us, Natascha Sohl, A. Garbarek, Rextasis, Boeing and .JPG
In 1998, the Argentine Film Council, INCAA, granted Romanella a production award to direct "Candela", a film that gained international recognition at London, Clermont Ferrand, Los Angeles and Rotterdam Int AOL Film Festivals. The rights to "Candela" were sold to Canal+, France.
