James has an extensive background in Advertising having worked as an Art Director and Copywriter at agencies such as Euro RSCG, Wnek, Gosper and BMP. Subsequently he honed a Creative Director position at an International Branding agency, responsible for everything from pack design to brand film.

His directing debut came in '2003 with a viral campaign for 'Trojan Condoms' working out of the Viral Factory. As a Filmmaker, James draws from his experience as an agency veteran and combines his skills as a comedic, performance driven storyteller to direct commercials with intelligence and wit. He brings a wealth of creativity and knowledge to every stage of the production process.
